The FyreLine Analogue Linear Heat Detector is a robust and easily installed system, comprising a control module and a specialised detection cable. It is designed to detect heat continuously along its entire length, making it suitable for a wide array of applications such as tunnels, cable trays, racking, and escalators, especially where traditional detection methods are difficult or costly to implement.
The system automatically compensates for changes in ambient temperature, maintaining accuracy and providing up to 500 metres of continuous detection per control module. It triggers a pre-alarm warning when a specific temperature is reached, followed by a full alarm if the temperature escalates further. The FyreLine cable is self-restorable, requiring replacement only if severely damaged, and the system can be easily reset after an event.
The control module can be connected directly to a conventional fire alarm panel or integrated into an addressable loop via a zone/switch monitor. The cable itself features copper conductors coated in a temperature-sensitive polymer, twisted with calibration and ambient temperature sensor cores, protected by a foil shield and outer sheath.
