Overview
FyreLine Non-Sensing Leader/Interposing Cable is used to bridge the gap between the heat sensing cable and the FyreLine control module. FyreLine Non-Sensing Leader Cable is easy to install, low-maintenance and cost-effective and is compatible with all FyreLine analogue linear heat detection systems.
In the case that the control module is not installed near to the protected area, non-sensing leader cable can reliably and cost-effectively carry the signal from the FyreLine heat sensing cable to the interface module. This is particularly useful, for example, in applications where the area to be protected has hazardous properties that may be harmful to the interface module.
FyreLine Analogue Non-Sensing Leader Cable is manufactured to the same specifications as the sensing cable and provides accurate resistance readings to ensure that the FyreLine detection system operates effectively.
There are two leader cable coating options available to ensure that the cable meets the requirements of the environment:
- White PVC coating – Suitable for most normal indoor and outdoor environments.
- Black Nylon coating – Suitable for harsh outdoor environments, hazardous areas where hydrocarbons are present or where the cable is exposed to UV rays.
Hazardous Area Limitations
In the case of Gas Group IIC applications, the limiting factor on zone lengths is due to the FyreLine analogue red core inductance. In the case of Gas Group IIB and IIA applications, the limiting factor on zone lengths is the maximum allowed sensor cable per controller.
