Description

The Wi-Fyre Xenos Wireless Conventional Expander, offered by Eurofyre, is engineered to enable the integration of wireless field devices with nearly any type of fire detection system. Xenos wireless field devices connect as non-addressable units, yet they leverage intelligent wireless technology for full monitoring of alarms and faults, ensuring a high degree of life-safety and system reliability.

These expander modules are compatible with both addressable and conventional fire alarm panels, connecting via a conventional zone and sounder circuit, directly or through a loop module. Each Wi-Fyre Xenos Wireless Conventional Expander can support up to 32 wireless devices, with a system capable of incorporating up to 15 expanders for extensive coverage.

Key features include bi-directional wireless communication and dual channel redundancy for enhanced system resilience. The point-to-point wireless transmission range exceeds 1km in open air, and with up to eight expansion hops, a Wi-Fyre Xenos system can cover distances well over 8km. The unit operates between 868 to 870 MHz and requires an external power supply ranging from 9 to 30Vdc.

The expander has an IP65 rating and can operate in temperatures from -10 to +55°C. Eurofyre, having supplied wireless fire detection systems since 2008, provides comprehensive support for the Wi-Fyre Xenos range, including expert advice, wireless survey assistance, demonstrations, training, and robust after-sales support.
