This month we would like to shine the spotlight on our ProFyre Analogue Addressable Sandwich Sounder – a loop-powered addressable sounder, designed to be sandwiched between a ProFyre detector base and addressable detector to provide a cost effective audible alert solution.
The ProFyre Analogue Addressable Sandwich Sounder has a range of alerts available, including various alternating, sweeping, continuous and intermittent tones, and provides a maximum output of up to 100 dB(A) (± 2dB).
ProFyre Sandwich Sounders are controlled by the fire alarm control panel and, once configured, will migrate to the common sounder group address by default. Individual signaling can be configured via the ProFyre detector remote LED output or can be assigned a unique address using the hand-held programmer.
Approvals
As with the whole range of ProFyre detectors, these sandwich sounders are fully approved by LPCB for installation and safe use in any European Union country. ProFyre sandwich sounders also comply with the CPR, EMC and Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and bear the CE mark.
Audibility Solution
ProFyre Analogue Addressable Sandwich Sounders eliminate the need for installing extra sounder bases, should audibility be an issue. This cost-effective solution can be paired with any smoke or heat detector to provide an audible solution with an output of up to 100 dB(A).
ProFyre Sandwich Sounders support alarm tone selection which can be set for the whole loop via the control panel and can be synchronised, providing at least one addressable sounder is present on the loop.
Compatible Devices
ProFyre Sandwich Sounders are compatible with the the full range of ProFyre detectors and bases and complement the ProFyre A4 and A2 analogue addressable control panels. ProFyre Sandwich Sounders are also compatible with the T8 2-wire fire alarm system.
To summarise, ProFyre Analogue Addressable Sandwich Sounders provide a cost-effective, loop-powered solution where additional sounders are required. They are compatible with any detectors and bases within the ProFyre range and are fully approved for use in the EU. With ten selectable tones available, ProFyre Sandwich Sounders can provide an audible output of up to 100 dB(A).
