Description

The FyreLine EN54 Fixed LSZH Cable with Messenger Wire is a linear heat detection solution primarily designed for installation in areas that are difficult to access, involve large spans, or where traditional fixing methods would be overly complex or time-consuming. The messenger wire, spiralled around the cable, renders it self-supporting, simplifying deployment in challenging environments.

This system operates on fixed temperature detection technology, featuring two twisted cores encased within a temperature-sensitive polymer. When the surrounding temperature reaches a predetermined threshold, the polymer softens, allowing the cores to make contact and trigger an alarm. This is an irreversible process, necessitating replacement of the activated cable section. The cable is also UV stable, hydrocarbon resistant, and constructed with Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) materials.

Crucially, the FyreLine EN54 Fixed LSZH Cable holds EN54-28:2016 approval, the European Standard for non-resettable line-type heat detectors, and bears the CE mark. To ensure full compliance with EN54-28, the cable must form part of a complete system alongside the FyreLine EN54 Fixed Controller and End-of-Line device. A single detection zone can extend up to 1,000 metres when integrated with the specific FLDC-EN54 controller.
