Overview
FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection Cable is used to form an EN54 approved linear heat detection system. With a temperature rating of either 78°C or 88°C, FyreLine EN54 heat sensing cable provides a fixed heat detection solution that is suitable for a wide range of applications and environments.
The cable’s protective outer coating is UV stable and hydrocarbon resistant, low smoke, zero halogen, oil resistant and flame retardant making it suitable for almost any application.
With the addition of a stainless steel, braided outer sheath, FyreLine EN54 Fixed LSZH SS Braided Cable is protected against mechanical abrasion making it safe for use in environments where the heats sensing cable may be accidentally cut or damaged.
FyreLine EN54 Fixed LSZH SS Braided Cable has been approved to EN 54-28:2016 in conjunction with the FyreLine EN54 Fixed Controller and FyreLine EN54 Fixed EOL.
Cable Construction
FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection Cable is made up of two twisted cores that are separated by an advanced temperature-sensitive polymer and wrapped in a stainless steel braided outer sheath. When the temperature sensitive polymer reaches its rated temperature it softens, allowing the cores to come into contact. This is an irreversible process and once the cable has activated, the section which has triggered must be cut out and replaced.
