Fire detection systems are designed to discover fires in the early stages of development to provide sufficient warning and enable the safe evacuation of occupants. By detecting fires before they become out of control, property loss can also be reduced and operational downtime can be minimised.
There are a variety of fire detection systems on the market. These systems can range from simple detection solutions that provide effective and reliable detection for most applications to specialist detection systems that are suited for applications with unique challenges or specific requirements.
System Sensor is the world’s largest manufacturer of analogue addressable and conventional fire detection devices for commercial applications.
System Sensor fire alarm systems are well-suited to a wide range of applications. These include:
Education facilities include buildings such as schools, colleges and universities. They vary in size but can range from very small single room facilities to large campuses that include multiple buildings.
Government & Public
Government and public buildings include community centres, libraries, courts and many more. They are open to the public and can welcome lots of visitors every day.
Healthcare facilities include buildings such as doctors surgeries, hospitals and care centres. They too can vary in size and receive an abundance of visitors each day.
Heritage or listed buildings are those that are considered to have historical importance. They are often visited by members of the public and can also contain items of value or historical significance.
Industrial applications include warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution facilities and many more. They are integral to the operation of many businesses.
Information technology facilities include buildings such as data centres, call centres and server rooms. They are also a critical part of the operation of many businesses.
Leisure & Hospitality
Leisure and hospitality facilities include buildings such as leisure centres, restaurants and hotels. These facilities vary in size and are open to visitors.
Offices provide a working space for employees. Businesses are usually run from this type of facility and they can provide a base for thousands of employees.
Retail facilities range from individual shops to large shopping malls. They vary greatly in shape and size and can welcome incomparable numbers of visitors every day.
Residential facilities are any buildings that provide dwellings for families or individuals. These can include flats, houses of multiple occupancy (HMO) and rented or private housing.

System Sensor System Range
Addressable Fire Alarm System
Addressable fire alarm systems provide each device on the system with a unique address. When an alarm or status report is received the address of the activated device is displayed on the main control panel. This means that the exact location of the device can be pinpointed, enabling appropriate action to be taken quickly and efficiently.
There is a range of loop addressable panels, intelligent fire alarm panels, fire alarm devices and fire alarm modules available as part of the System Sensor range of addressable fire alarm systems.
Conventional Fire Alarm System
Conventional fire alarm systems provide a simple, reliable and cost-effective solution for a variety of applications. Unlike addressable fire alarm systems, they can not provide an accurate location of fire, but they can identify a zone in which the alarm was triggered.
The System Sensor range of conventional fire alarm systems includes a 2, 4 or 8 zone fire alarm panel and a variety of smoke and heat detectors, beam detectors, duct detectors, callpoints and audible and visual alarms.
