Overview
The Esento Eclipse from HAES is an EN54 approved 2–4 zone Conventional/Twin Wire (sav-wire) fire alarm control panel, designed as a dynamic entry-level solution for smaller fire detection installations. It combines a compact steel enclosure, integral power supply, and flexible engineering options in a single wall-mounted unit.
The Esento Eclipse Conventional Fire Alarm Panel is available in 2-zone or 4-zone configurations, each provided with two monitored sounder circuits. Zone circuits can be conventionally wired or switched into Twin Wire (sav-wire) mode via a DIL switch, allowing sounders and beacons to share the same cable pair as detectors and call points, reducing installation time and cost by up to 40%. Twin Wire mode requires special detector bases and polarised call points.
The panel supports a wide range of conventional detectors, including Apollo (Series 65, Orbis), Hochiki CDX, and Nittan Evolution Conventional ranges.
The panel comprises a sheet steel enclosure (IP30, epoxy powder coated) suitable for wall mounting, with a hinged, lockable front door and an optional recessing bezel (FMK-ECL). Cable entry is via 20mm knockouts at the top and rear of the cabinet.
An eight-button keypad with three larger colour-coded buttons — RESOUND (red), SILENCE (blue), and RESET (green) — provides straightforward operation. Controls can be activated via a key switch or a programmable four-digit code. Bright LED indicators show zone fire, fault, disablement, and test status at a glance.
The panel provides common Fire and Fault volt-free relays (3A @ 30Vdc), switched -ve Fire and Fault outputs, class change and alert inputs, and a zone interface function for interconnecting multiple panels.
Programmable features include fire latching options, short-circuit-as-alarm settings, intrinsically safe zone operation, detector removal monitoring, sounder resound behaviour, Type A dependency (false alarm management, LPCB approved), and configurable sounder circuit functions — all accessed through Level 3 engineering codes on the keypad.
