The main control panel should be installed in a location that is easy for staff and the fire service to access, while remaining secure and discreet. In a church, this is usually within the vestry, office or an entrance lobby close to the main door. The panel must be clearly visible, well-lit and positioned at a comfortable operating height. It should not be placed in areas that are locked during services or events, or in locations exposed to damp, dust or temperature extremes.
