Overview
The E2S IS-A105N Intrinsically Safe Sounder is a high-output audible alarm designed for hazardous environments where explosive gases or vapours may be present. It provides a clear audible warning signal to support fire detection, safety and process control systems.
The sounder produces up to 105 dB(A) output at 1 metre and offers 49 selectable alarm tones. The output tone is selected using internal switches and can be configured for single-stage or multi-stage alarm signalling. Second- and third-stage alarm tones can be triggered by connecting dedicated control terminals, allowing the sounder to support different warning signals during an incident.
The unit operates from a 24 V DC intrinsically safe supply via an approved Zener barrier or galvanic isolator. Power terminals are duplicated to allow multiple sounders to be connected in parallel, or to support end-of-line monitoring.
The enclosure is constructed from flame retardant ABS and provides IP66 ingress protection. This makes the sounder suitable for demanding industrial environments where dust, moisture or harsh weather conditions may be present.
