It provides a rigid anchor for the filter housing, ensuring a stable and secure installation that supports the weight of the filter independently of the surrounding pipe network.
As the in-line filter is installed directly into 25mm pipework, an unsupported housing can place strain on the adjoining pipe joints, particularly in industrial environments where machinery, plant or heavy vehicle movements cause ongoing vibration.
