Description

The VESDA-E VEA Aspirating Smoke Detector offers reliable early warning detection with pinpoint addressability, outperforming traditional spot detectors. It draws air samples from microbore pipes, filtering and analysing them in a laser detection chamber. Upon detecting smoke and reaching an alarm threshold, a rotary valve scans sampling points to precisely locate the fire.

These detectors accommodate 40 sampling points, expandable to 120 with StaX modules, and support micro-tube lengths up to 100m. Encased in an IP40 enclosure, the VEA uses Xtralis VSC software for simplified commissioning and maintenance. It is ideal for applications requiring accurate fire location, such as healthcare, offices, education, retail, prisons, and electrical cabinets.

Installation is quick and flexible, utilising push-fit connectors to minimise time and cost. Field-replaceable components like filters, sensors, and pumps reduce downtime during servicing. Standard Ethernet and WiFi connectivity allow wireless configuration, while the VESDAnet bi-directional network provides robust control and remote management, even with single point wiring failures.

The VEA-A10 model features a 3.5-inch colour LCD display, showing smoke levels, alarms, and faults. The system continuously monitors airflow for blockages or breakages in individual tubes, displaying any issues. It includes three sensitivity levels, end-to-end integrity monitoring, automatic cleaning, and a mobile application.

Approved by VdS and bearing the CE mark, the VESDA-E VEA complies with EN54-20 and other relevant directives.
