The VESDA-E VEA Sampling Point is an integral part of the VESDA-E VEA series of aspirating smoke detectors, which merge VESDA’s renowned reliability and early warning capabilities with pinpoint addressability. These detectors employ patented air sampling points connected to multiple microbore tubes, offering three distinct alarm sensitivity settings.

Each sampling point and its microbore tube are fully supervised by the detector. The points feature automated cleaning, a swivel joint for flexible tube orientation, and options for direct or ceiling tile mounting with a retainer. Designed primarily for ceilings with voids, the tubes run within the void while the sampling points are ceiling-mounted, allowing for “blind mounting” without needing post-installation access to the void.

This system’s end-to-end supervision and integrity monitoring drastically reduce servicing and maintenance time, cutting it by up to 90% compared to conventional spot detection. Sampling points are available in black or white, with 4mm or 6mm inlets to suit microbore tubes.
