Description

The ProFyre Power Supply Unit, offered by Eurofyre, is engineered to deliver a continuous and dependable 24V dc power supply for professional fire detection and alarm systems, adhering to technical and legislative standards. This range employs state-of-the-art switch mode power technology and is available in two metal-clad, powder-coated versions: the 1.5A ‘true-load’ ProFyre P2 and the 4A ‘true-load’ ProFyre P5. Both units feature two monitored and fused outputs, with internal capacity for up to 12Ah and 17Ah batteries, respectively.

Each power supply is housed within a robust enclosure with a hinged, lockable door that incorporates an integral LCD status display, four LED indicators, and two control switches. This intuitive interface allows users to efficiently monitor critical functions such as output voltage, current, charge type, and battery state. The unit utilises a sophisticated three-state charging circuit, employing Boost, Float, or Pulse modes depending on the battery’s condition. Crucially, it includes protective measures like automatic battery disconnection upon full discharge to prevent damage and fault signaling for high internal battery resistance.

Further safety features encompass earth fault monitoring and automatic battery deep-discharge protection. The ProFyre P2 and P5 are fully approved by Intertek for use and installation across the European Union, displaying the CE mark to confirm compliance with directives including the CPR, EMC, and Low Voltage Directive, as well as meeting EN54-4 standards for fire detection and alarm system power supply equipment. Technical specifications include a wide mains voltage input of 96 to 264Vac, a 28Vdc nominal operating voltage, and an IP30 rating for indoor, surface-mounted installations.
