Description

The Fire Beam Xtra Beam Detector is an advanced optical beam smoke detector, replacing earlier models. It builds on the 2005 original’s aim to resolve common issues such as building movement and difficult commissioning, providing a reliable, professional detection solution.

EN54-12:2015 approved, it offers enhanced optics for a range up to 160 metres. Commissioning is significantly faster; self-alignment takes three minutes, and realignment just one, via new linear stepper motors. It maintains automatic alignment during building movement and includes automatic drift compensation.

Intelligent features include disabling auto-alignment or a time delay for environments with temporary obscuration. Its Beam Phasing, offering seven sampling rates, prevents crosstalk from multiple units facing each other. Seven languages are also supported.

The standard kit provides the head unit, low-level controller, and a reflector for distances up to 70 metres, extendable to 160 metres with additional range kits. The ground-level controller simplifies commissioning, adjustment, and maintenance, enhancing installation and servicing.

Fully compliant with European standards, bearing the CE mark, and approved by VdS, the Fire Beam Xtra is suitable for diverse applications across the European Union.
