Overview
An emergency assistance alarm is a device or system designed to alert others or summon help in case of an emergency situation. This type of alarm is particularly beneficial for elderly individuals or those with medical conditions who may require immediate assistance in case of accidents or health emergencies.
The Crisis Assist Accessible Bedroom Kit provides all the components required for a typical accessible bedroom as recommended within Building Regulations Document M (access for the disabled) and BS8300:2018.
The Crisis Assist Accessible Bedroom Kit includes: an over-door plate, to be mounted in the corridor or hallway; two cancel plates, one for beside the bed and one for the bathroom; three pull cords, for beside the bed, the toilet and the bath/shower; a WC alarm fitted sticker; and an operating instructions sticker. The accessible bedroom kit provides a simple solution integrating emergency assist alarm call systems within an EVCS, providing a single display point for all disabled calls within a building.
The Crisis Assist Accessible Bedroom Kit is supplied with either a grey finish or a stainless steel finish and the plates all include an led indicator.
When a call is made the over-door and cancel units emit a two-tone siren and the LED flashes, when the call is acknowledged from the Crisis Master Station the LED is lit and the tone double beeps every 15 seconds to reassure the caller that help is on the way.
All Crisis Emergency Voice Communication Systems (EVCS) are designed to comply fully with the requirements of BS5839-9:2011 for use as a disabled refuge system (DRS) with integrated Emergency Assist Alarm System. The Crisis Assist Call Accessible Bedroom Kit provides a BS8300 compliant accessible bedroom solution including the “acknowledge” signalling required for remote locations.
Typical Wiring Diagram
The Crisis Assist Accessible Bedroom Kit can be used on a dedicated line, or may share a line with the Crisis Type B Refuge Outstation (as long as fire rated cable is used), where operation of the refuge point overrides the assistance call (ideal where a disabled toilet is adjacent to a refuge lobby).
As the Assist Call Accessible Bedroom Kit is connected to a Crisis Master Station, the plates and cables are fully monitored and battery backed as standard.
