Xtralis XCC Class C aspirating smoke detectors can protect an area of up to 1600m2 with up to 18 sampling holes. Cumulative sampling provides a more reliable and more effective detection solution than point type detectors.
Typical Applications
XCC detectors are well suited to smaller warehouses. Owners of Storage facilities of less than 2000 m2 often employ low-cost fire detection solutions due to the smaller quantities of stock that they contain. However, fires in buildings such as these do occur, and when they do the consequences can be devastating. Therefore, this cost-effective solution can be used to replace point detectors and provide a reliable and efficient low-cost solution.
Xtralis XCC detection does not just provide a valid solution for warehouse or storage facilities, but is well suited for any area of up to 1600m2.
Installation and Maintenance
Xtralis XCC detectors benefit from pre-configured pipe networks and are also fully compatible with the full range of design software from Xtralis making design and installation a simple process.
This ASD can be installed outside the protected areas and can therefore be accessed easily, making maintenance a simple task. Discrete sampling points provide unobtrusive detection and help to maintain the aesthetics of the protected area.
Xtralis Class C detectors provide two levels of alarm – pre-alarm and fire alarm – and can be simply interfaced with fire alarm control panels and monitoring systems via relays. A fault relay is also in situ to report faults to the control panel.
Approvals
Xtralis XCC aspirating smoke detectors carry approvals from the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and bear the CE mark, demonstrating that they are reliable and safe for installation and use in any country that follows BS5839 regulations, such as those within the EU and many other countries including some in the Middle East.
