Overview
The FyreLine Resettable Linear Heat Detection (LHD) system is a comprehensive fire protection solution, consisting of a heat-sensitive cable, a controller, and an end-of-line unit. This system is designed to provide reliable overheat protection for a wide range of applications, including power generation and oil and gas industries.
The FyreLine Resettable LHD controller is a high-performance fire detection device, certified to EN54-22 and UL 521 standards. Designed to continuously monitor a heat-sensitive cable, the controller provides early warning signals and triggers alarms in response to overheating conditions. This versatile device offers Modbus communication and remote reset options, ensuring seamless integration and efficient management.
The controller’s resettable design promotes cost-effectiveness and minimises downtime, making it a valuable asset for fire safety systems.
Controller Wiring
The FyreLine Resettable Controller can be connected to any standard fire alarm control panel or addressable monitor module. It can be powered either through the 24V DC switched power output, which is interrupted during control panel resets, or via a battery-backed EN54-4 power supply for EN54-compliant installations or a UL-listed power supply with a UTRZ category code for UL-compliant installations.

MODBUS Output
The FyreLine Resettable Controller features a Modbus RS-485 RTU/ASCII output. This interface enables the retrieval of additional data from the FyreLine Resettable system, including fault and alarm status. For instance, by reading the ambient temperature of the sensor cable through the Modbus output, the FyreLine Resettable Controller and Sensor Cable can be utilized as a distributed temperature sensing solution.
Remote Reset
The FyreLine Resettable Controller’s remote reset function allows for remote resetting. To initiate a reset, apply 5 to 28 VDC (maximum 2 mA) to the remote reset input for a minimum of 3 seconds.
Display

A fault condition arises when one or more cores of the Resettable LHD cable are broken or the Resettable Controller malfunctions.
Pre-Alarm/Alarm Function
The pre-alarm state is initiated by an abnormal temperature rise around the Resettable LHD cable. This triggers a pre-alarm signal at the sensor controller.

An alarm state is triggered when a fire or overheating event occurs around the Resettable LHD cable. This event activates the sensor controller.
