The FAAST LT In-line Filter provides essential additional protection for FAAST LT detectors operating in harsh environments prone to high levels of airborne contaminants. Designed for seamless integration with all FAAST LT-200 versions, this filter enhances the detector’s longevity and significantly reduces maintenance costs by safeguarding against particulate ingress.

Installation is straightforward, utilising a plug-and-play design that allows for effortless in-line fitting with aspirating pipework. This eliminates the need for additional pipe fittings or ABS cement, simplifying the setup process. Clear arrows on the filter’s housing indicate the airflow direction, further aiding correct fitting and operation.

Once air enters the housing, it is directed through a series of three filter elements—coarse, medium, and fine—which efficiently filter particles down to approximately 20μm. Crucially, this advanced filtration system still permits smoke particles to pass through unimpeded, ensuring the detector’s primary function remains uncompromised.

It is imperative that the FAAST LT In-line Filter is accounted for within the Pipe-IQ design software (version 2.9x or later) during initial pipe design and airflow calculations. This ensures optimal system performance and compliance.
