Overview

The DTSX1 employs Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS), a type of linear heat detection whereby the fibre optic cable itself is the heat sensing element, capable of providing near-pinpoint locations and temperature accuracy across long distances.

Capable of detecting high heat over a wide area quickly and precisely, the controller incorporates all heat detection functions in a single box along with relays and display. Easily configurable, the alarm display and sounder can be programmed to your specific requirements, enabling rapid early warning of fire and identification of heat alarm conditions.

In addition to the DTSX1 Fiber Optic LHD Controller, all you need to create a LHD system is a LHD Fiber optic cable – up to four can be connected to the controller on separate channels giving a total range of up to 64km. 

The DTSX1 controller excels at heat sensing over long distances and a wide temperature range of -25° to +70°C due to an innovative light scattering principle which not only allows differences in temperature to be accurately recorded, but also accurately located along the length of the cable.

The DTSX1 can accurately detect multiple hotspot locations simultaneously and sound the alarm at various presets to protect important assets before rising temperatures result in fire or require intervention.
