Aspirating smoke detection (ASD) has long been regarded as one of the most effective technologies available for very early warning fire detection, particularly in environments where business continuity, asset protection and occupant safety are mission-critical. Securiton, a Swiss manufacturer with more than 50 years of experience in fire protection, is one of the leading names in this field, and Eurofyre has built a long-standing relationship with the company as a technical distributor of its aspirating smoke detection range.
This partnership gives Eurofyre customers access to the full Securiton portfolio, backed by technical support, training and pipe design assistance. It also means that as Securiton continues to develop new generations of detection technology, Eurofyre is positioned to bring that innovation to installers and end users across the UK.
Securiton

Securiton is a Swiss fire protection manufacturer with a heritage spanning more than five decades in aspirating smoke detection. Its SecuriSmoke ASD range is developed in Switzerland and manufactured in Germany, and is used across a wide range of demanding environments, from data centres and logistics facilities to metros and other mission-critical infrastructure. The company’s detectors are known for their robustness, precision and reliability, drawing on decades of accumulated engineering expertise in early fire detection.
Securiton’s product range extends beyond aspirating smoke detection to include beam and heat detection technologies, but the SecuriSmoke ASD family remains at the core of its fire detection offering, providing very early warning capability for applications where conventional point detection would be insufficient.
SecuriSmoke ASD 2000

The SecuriSmoke ASD 2000 is Securiton’s newest generation of aspirating smoke detector, developed over a multi-year programme as the successor to the well-established ASD 535. The detector is built around four separate sampling channels, each with its own airflow monitoring, allowing deviations to be identified and traced to a specific channel. This is combined with updated sensor technology designed to pick up very small quantities of smoke.
A key change in the ASD 2000 is a move toward a digital-first way of working: commissioning, configuration, diagnostics and day-to-day operation are all handled through a dedicated mobile application rather than a separate PC-based tool. This is intended to simplify installation and ongoing maintenance for engineers working across a wide range of sites. As with previous SecuriSmoke generations, the ASD 2000 is aimed at demanding industrial, commercial and infrastructure environments where dependable, low-maintenance early warning detection is essential.
Securiton ASD 531, 532, 533 and 535

The established SecuriSmoke ASD 531, 532, 533 and 535 range continues to provide highly sensitive, continuous air sampling smoke detection for a broad range of applications. The detectors are built to withstand dust ingress and strong jets of water, operate quietly, and are engineered to respond precisely to very small amounts of smoke. The range also meets a number of international application standards, which supports its use across varied global markets.
Detectors within the range draw air samples continuously through a sampling pipe network to a central smoke sensor, with adjustable sensitivity and alarm thresholds to suit different protected areas. For the ASD 535 and ASD 532, when used alongside a compatible Securiton control panel, configuration, commissioning and maintenance can be carried out directly from the panel itself, reducing the need for separate on-site tools.

Application Spotlights
Prison & Custody Suite ASD Solution

Securiton ASD units are built to cope with the dust, drafts and heat variations common in custodial settings, with robust filtering and adaptive algorithms to reduce false alarms. The compact ASD 533 and higher-capacity ASD 535 suit cells, corridors and shared spaces within prisons and custody suites.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Centre ASD 535 Solution

Modern warehouses and fulfilment centres combine large fire loads with high, narrow racking, making early warning detection essential. The SecuriSmoke ASD 535’s sensitivity, ground-level testing and flexible pipe routing suit these vast, fast-moving environments.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Centre ASD 2000 Solution

Warehouses and fulfilment centres face a higher fire risk than many environments due to their scale, layout and the volume of combustible stock they hold. The SecuriSmoke ASD 2000’s flexible pipe configurations and multiple sampling points support high-sensitivity detection across large warehouse layouts.
Office Buildings ASD 2000 Solution

Office buildings range from small single-storey premises to large multi-storey headquarters, often housing significant numbers of people alongside valuable IT and communications equipment. The SecuriSmoke ASD 2000 supports early detection and business continuity across modern office layouts.
