Overview

Haes AlarmSense is a 2- or 4-zone AlarmSense protocol two-wire conventional control panel, supplied with an integral power supply and space for standby batteries. It’s designed specifically to work with the AlarmSense range of detectors and sounders, which connect to a single pair of supply wires rather than requiring separate detector and sounder circuits — cutting cable runs, labour, and installation costs. 

The panel is available in 2-zone and 4-zone configurations, each with dedicated AlarmSense zone circuits plus two additional conventional monitored sounder circuits for extra coverage beyond the AlarmSense loop. A particularly useful feature for Houses of Multiple Occupancy is non-priority signalling, which allows a smoke detector activation with a local sounder to delay full alarm by up to two minutes (adjustable to 30, 60, or 120 seconds, and selectable per zone), giving residents a chance to clear false alarms before the system escalates. Manual call points always trigger an immediate full alarm regardless of this setting, and the panel display response during a non-priority alarm can also be configured. Coincidence alarm operation is similarly selectable per zone, requiring signals from two devices before a full alarm is raised, further reducing false alarms.

Controls activate via key switch or code entry, and the panel includes Fire & Fault VFCO relays, switched -ve outputs, class change and alert inputs, and disable/test modes for zones, sounders, and auxiliary outputs. For larger installations, the AlarmSense Plus range extends to 4, 8, or 12 zones with a bigger cabinet and a 3-amp power supply.
