Description

The InfraSensing Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S) Gas Sensor, offered by Eurofyre, is a compact, plug-and-play device designed for continuous indoor monitoring of hydrogen sulfide concentrations. It forms part of an Environmental Monitoring System (EMS), which safeguards valuable assets by monitoring critical parameters and preventing equipment failures, data loss, and regulatory infringements.

This sensor accurately measures H₂S levels up to 100 parts per million (ppm) with a 1ppm resolution. Encased in a robust steel enclosure, it supports diverse mounting options, including 0U rack, DIN rail, magnetic, or wall installations. Deployment is simplified through direct connection to the SensorGateway (BASE-5) via a CAT6 or higher RJ45 cable, powered by the base unit using Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 12V DC, with optional 24V or 48V inputs.

The sensor has a response time of less than or equal to 20 seconds and requires a 10-minute warm-up period, with calibration recommended up to once per year. It features a lifespan of two years and operates effectively within a temperature range of -20°C to +50°C.

It’s particularly useful in environments such as data centres, where H₂S monitoring is essential for preventing corrosion and ensuring the longevity of systems. The sensor requires the BASE-XX base unit and the BASE-FW-SSLS firmware add-on. Data and power are transmitted from the Base Unit to the sensor via an RJ45 cable.
