Description

Eurofyre offers the InfraSensing Hydrogen Gas Sensor, a device designed for continuous and accurate monitoring of hydrogen gas levels in various environments. As part of their Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), this sensor helps to mitigate environmental risks, preventing equipment failures and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The sensor boasts a detection range of 0 to 100% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) with an accuracy of ±5% LEL, providing rapid feedback with a response time of fewer than 20 seconds. Notably, the sensor has a long lifespan of up to 15 years and does not require regular calibration.

Technically, the device utilises spectrometer detection technology and is powered by a BASE-XX Base Unit (available separately), requiring a BASE-FW-SSLS firmware add-on. It connects via an RJ45 cable, transmitting both data and power. The sensor is housed in a robust steel enclosure suitable for industrial environments and can be mounted in various ways, including rack, DIN rail, magnetic, or wall mounting.

The sensor operates in a wide temperature range, from -40°C to 75°C, and tolerates humidity levels from 0 to 100% rH (non-condensing).

Applications for the sensor include data centres and renewable energy facilities, where hydrogen gas monitoring is crucial for safety and operational efficiency.
