Description

The Li-ion Tamer Monitoring Sensor, Gen 3, provides early warning of lithium-ion battery failures by detecting electrolyte solvent vapours released during the off-gassing phase. This critical precursor to catastrophic thermal runaway enables prompt investigation and mitigation, preventing serious incidents.

Compatible with all lithium-ion battery chemistries and form factors, the sensor offers versatility. It boasts a rapid five-second response to off-gassing events and a minimum detection threshold of less than 1 ppm/sec for target gases. Its calibration-free operation further simplifies maintenance.

Operating within a comprehensive Li-ion Tamer system, Gen 3 monitoring sensors (with black endplates) are mounted near batteries. They continuously collect environmental signals, processed by an inbuilt Li-ion Tamer Event Detection Algorithm. This algorithm confirms gas presence, triggering an alert.

The complete Li-ion Tamer system integrates monitoring and referencing sensors, hubs, various switches, and a central controller for a robust detection network.
