The OSID (Open-area Smoke Imaging Detection) system offers innovative projected beam technology for early warning smoke detection. It provides a reliable, easy-to-install solution, overcoming common false alarm and alignment issues found in traditional systems. With a 150m range, OSID maintains high immunity to dust and intrusive objects, offering clear operational status through dedicated indicators.

Its effectiveness relies on two core technologies. Dual Wavelength Particle Detection uses synchronised UV and IR pulses to differentiate smoke from dust. Concurrently, an Optical Imaging array with a CMOS chip provides a wide viewing angle for multiple Emitters, reducing installation precision, compensating for building shifts, and ensuring system stability.

Installation, maintenance are straightforward. An Imager can oversee up to seven Emitters; simple mounting and laser-aided alignment facilitate automatic commissioning. High dust tolerance ensures minimal ongoing maintenance, typically limited to occasional cleaning. Operational status, including fire alarms and faults, is conveyed via LEDs and dedicated relays.

The OSID system eliminates precise alignment needs and tolerates drift, with alarm thresholds easily configured. It holds VdS and CE mark approvals, complying with BS EN 54-12:2015. Configurable OSI-10 and OSI-90 Imagers adapt to diverse detection areas for flexible system integration, catering to various fields of view and ranges.
