The VESDA Wall-Mounted High Level Interface (HLI) acts as a critical link between a VESDAnet aspirating smoke detection system and PC software tools, such as Xtralis VSM4 and VSC. This interface facilitates direct access, monitoring, and configuration of an entire VESDA network, capable of managing up to 200 devices. Its convenient wall-mounted design allows for flexible installation in easily accessible, remote locations, rather than necessarily close to a detector, often near the controlling PC.
A core component of the HLI is its built-in VESDAnet Interface socket card, which ensures seamless data transfer between the VESDAnet and the connected computer. This integrated card also supplies 24VDC power to the HLI unit, negating the need for an external power supply. Configuration and management of the network are straightforward, utilising Xtralis configuring and monitoring software packages.
Regarding its technical specifications, the unit measures 280 x 185 x 55 mm, weighs 2 kg, and maintains a low power consumption of 1.68 W in a stable state. Each HLI is supplied with an RS-232 9-way serial cable for PC connection and includes a 2-year product warranty.
