Overview
The Securiton ASD 532 is a highly advanced aspirating smoke detector designed for early fire detection in sensitive environments. Ideal for use in data centres, clean rooms, museums, and similar high-risk areas, the ASD 532 offers precise and reliable smoke detection, ensuring that even the smallest particles are identified at an early stage.
The Securiton ASD 532 employs dual optics technology, which utilises two independent optical sensors to analyse air samples, significantly reducing false alarms while providing accurate smoke density measurements. The device also offers configurable sensitivity levels, enabling it to be tailored to different environments, from highly sensitive areas to less critical ones. Additionally, the ASD 532 can be equipped with an SSD 532-3 Smoke Sensing Device, which enhances detection capabilities by adding a third sensor for even greater precision in smoke analysis.
The detector is designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind, featuring a modular structure that provides straightforward access to internal components. Its sophisticated software supports system configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics, ensuring optimal performance and a user-friendly experience.
Area Coverage
Depending on the environment and configuration, a single ASD 532 unit can monitor an area of up to 1280 square metres (approximately 13,775 square feet).
EN54-20 Aspirating Smoke Detection Sensitivity Classes
The Securiton ASD 532 offers three sensitivity classes to cater to different detection needs:
- Class A (Very High Sensitivity) for environments requiring early detection of the smallest smoke particles, such as clean rooms and data centres;
- Class B (High Sensitivity) for areas like museums and libraries, where asset protection from smoke damage is crucial; and
- Class C (Standard Sensitivity) for general applications, including offices and public buildings, providing reliable smoke detection while minimising false alarms.
Each class allows precise configuration to suit the specific conditions of the monitored area.

Pipe Lengths
The Securiton ASD 532 supports sampling pipe configurations in various shapes, including I, U, T, H, and E, with lengths up to 70 metres.
Orientation
The Securiton ASD 532 can be rotated so that the pipe inlets can exit towards the ground or from the top to the ceiling.
Indication
The ASD 532 offers a standard LED display with Alarm, Fault and dusty or dirty indication, and a reset and power button.
