Description

The ProFyre Addressable Sounder Circuit Controller is designed for integration into ProFyre A4, A2, and T8 2-wire analogue addressable fire alarm systems. Its primary purpose is to operate conventional style alarm devices like electronic sounders, bells, and beacons, especially where their current consumption makes loop-powered devices unsuitable.

Key features include addressing capability via dip switches or a hand-held programmer, an integral bi-directional short circuit isolator to maintain functionality during faults, and visible LED indicators for status, fault, and alarm conditions. The module also incorporates an input for monitoring a remote power supply unit.

This module is not loop-powered, requiring an external 24Vdc supply with adequate battery backup to power both the unit and its connected alarm load. It offers flexible installation, supplied with a back box for surface mounting (providing an IP21C rating for internal use) and compact enough for semi-flush mounting onto a double European back box. Its electronics are protected by a cover during installation.

The ProFyre Sounder Circuit Controller is fully approved by Intertek, bearing the CE mark to confirm compliance with all applicable directives, including the CPR, EMC, and LVD. It meets EN54-17:2005 for short circuit isolators and EN54-18:2005 for input/output devices. The sounder output is rated at 500mA.
