The Li-ion Tamer rack monitor is a gas detection solution that provides an early and reliable warning of battery fires. By detecting the gasses produced during off-gas events, the Li-ion Tamer can quickly identify an issue before the smoke and fire stages, allowing potential fires to be dealt with before they get out of hand and cause irreparable damage.
The Li-ion Tamer rack monitor system comprises two key components; the Li-Ion Tamer Controller and the Li-ion Tamer Monitoring Sensor.
Li-ion Tamer Monitoring Sensors are low power and compact devices that are used to monitor the lithium ion batteries.
These monitoring sensors are acutely sensitive to battery electrolyte solvent vapours. Combined with proprietary algorithms, this creates a product that can detect a single cell failure, without electrical interrogation or mechanical contact of the cells, often faster than traditional monitoring methods such as temperature and voltage monitoring. If a single cell in the battery system experiences an off-gas event, the monitoring sensor sends a signal to the Li-ion Tamer Controller which will then act accordingly.
Li-ion Tamer Monitoring Sensors are unobtrusive, easy to install and come with several mounting options.
Li-ion Tamer Monitoring Sensors are ETL listed to UL61010, are EN 60326-1 certified for EU Directive (2014/30/EU) and are RoHS 3 EU 2015/863 compliant.
