Overview

The InfraSensing Standalone H2 & VOC Off-Gas Sensor is a compact, high-performance device designed for real-time monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and hydrogen (H₂) gas levels in sensitive environments like data centres, server rooms, and industrial facilities.
In lithium-ion battery systems, both VOCs and hydrogen gas can be released during thermal stress, damage, or degradation. These gases signal potential overheating or imminent thermal runaway, a dangerous reaction that can lead to fires or explosions.
Monitoring VOC and hydrogen levels around battery installations is essential for early detection of such hazards. Elevated VOC or hydrogen levels can trigger alerts, enabling preventative measures to protect sensitive equipment and maintain safe operating conditions in environments like data centres and industrial facilities.
InfraSensing Standalone H2 & VOC Off-Gas Sensor uses advanced sensing technology to detect a broad range of VOCs and hydrogen gas levels with high accuracy and sensitivity, issuing alerts when levels exceed set thresholds. It supports SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) traps, enabling integration with larger network management systems for automated monitoring and alerts. It can also connect seamlessly to InfraSensing’s SensorGateway enabling centralised environmental monitoring.
