Description

The Eurofyre DTSX Fiber Optic Sensing Cable is a distributed temperature sensing (DTS) system that employs optical fibres to continuously monitor temperature changes along its entire length. It operates by transmitting light pulses and analysing the backscattered light, which varies with temperature, enabling real-time detection over extensive distances.

This cable is EN 54-22 compliant and is designed for monitoring lengths from 2km up to 8km. It features a robust, flame-retardant outer jacket and can operate effectively across a wide temperature spectrum, ranging from -25°C to +70°C.

Installation is flexible, allowing for fixed placement in cable ducts and tubes, or use as a multi-patch cable in distribution systems, making it suitable for pre-assembly applications.

Mechanically, the cable demonstrates significant durability with high tensile and crush resistance. Its fire performance is notable, complying with standards for flame retardancy (IE60332-1-2), low smoke density (IEC61034), and being halogen-free (IEC60754-1). It also boasts a fire class of B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 and maintains circuit integrity for 90 minutes.
