Amongst Advanced’s range of fire alarm panels is the MxPro 5 range.

Advanced MxPro 5

The Advanced MxPro 5 range provides maximum freedom and flexibility while delivering performance, quality and ease-of-use. These EN54-approved fire panels, that cater for small to large applications, are simple to install, configure and use, allowing the specifier to match the best performing panel to the most appropriate detector range for the application.

MxPro 5 fire panels are designed to be scalable and versatile and can be adapted as required with minimal fuss or disruption. They offer intuitive programming, powerful networking, comprehensive cause-and-effect and unique diagnostic features. Instinctive controls and menus, with simple click-and-select programming are included to provide simple and easy commissioning.

Every panel in the range is networkable with up to 200 network nodes and 2,000 fire detection zones. Advanced MxPro 5 panels support wired and wireless loops, or a hybrid of both, and are fully compatible with Wi-Fyre Xenos.

Key Features

  • Fully compatible with Wi-Fyre Xenos Wireless Fire Detection
  • Fully approved to EN54 Parts 2 and 4
  • Standalone one, two, four or eight loop formats
  • Up to 254 devices per loop (depending on chosen protocol)
  • Graphical display configurable for virtually any language
  • Dedicated USB & RS232 serial port
  • EN54-2:1997, EN54-4:1997 & EN54-13:2005

Typical Wiring Diagram

The circuit can be monitored from any panel or remote terminal and the user can see a complete device history on every panel.  5,000 event and diagnostic, and 500 fire event log entries, are stored for comprehensive tracking and auditing.

The panel’s network diagnostic tool prevents fires and faults from being transmitted across the network and a built-in multimeter measures all voltages and currents across the system, so you can speed up the commissioning process by identifying voltage/current levels in real time.

Standard peripherals include direct USB and RS232 PC connections, and peripheral expansion is built in for added peace of mind.

Networking

Advanced’s high-performance network technology works across the MxPro 5 range to deliver the easiest setup and best-performing fire panel networks available.

Easy Connection
All MxPro 5 control panels, remote terminals and network peripherals can be connected together using fire resistant 2-core cable. Simply adding and connecting a network card to any MxPro 5 control panel or remote terminal allows the user to create the smallest two-panel network through to the largest 200-panel, wired-area, networked system while maintaining low installation costs.
Zoning
Networked systems can share up to 2,000 zones and devices. Autolearning the devices, adding text and assigning zone numbers is easy and all other nodes on the network are instantly aware of a panel as soon as it is given a valid network node address.
Peer-to-Peer System
An MxPro 5 system does not rely on a single master panel to function and information from any input or output device can be passed over the network and displayed on any MxPro 5 control panel or remote terminal.
Diagnostic and Status information
All panels provide valuable diagnostic and status information and have the facility to prevent the transmission of fires or faults during commissioning. DynamixTools software enables easy configuration of complicated cause and effect for more complex systems and all configuration data is contained within one user-friendly network configuration file.
