Throughout 2021, the world has continued to adjust and adapt at the mercy of the COVID-19 pandemic. While vaccines have been rolled out, social distancing measures have been gradually reduced and some of the world have seen a glimpse of normality, it’s still not over and many of us are still finding ways to adapt to a new way of life.
Fortunately, we have been able to continue to provide the same high-level of service that our customers have come to expect; we have taken on new members of staff, increased our storage capacity and invested in new technology to enable us to host virtual meetings and provide remote training. These changes mean that we can continue to support our customers and deliver the reliable and trustworthy service they deserve.

A Thriving Fire Industry
Despite the current climate, the fire industry has continued to thrive. There are constant developments in legislation, continuing research and development into new fire safety products and an increasing demand for fire safety equipment. On top of this, there has been a growing need to provide remote services to help stem the spread of the COVID-19 virus, making it more difficult to stay ahead of the curve and deliver the support and training that fire professionals need.
Therefore, Eurofyre have invested time and money into ensuring that we can cater for everyone:
- Additional storage space
- As the demand for fire safety equipment grows it’s important that we can keep enough stock to cater for our clients. Therefore, this year, we have increased our storage capacity to allow us to keep more stock.
- Increased workforce
- We have also taken on a new junior sales executive to assist with the sales process, enabling us to provide the same fast and reliable service that you are used to.
- Remote meetings and training
- We have continued to invest in new technologies to allow us to host remote meetings and continue to deliver expert training while reducing the need to meet face-to-face.
Product/System Spotlight
FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection
In Q4 of 2021, we launched our FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection System. FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection provides fixed linear heat detection that is approved to the European Standard for non-resettable line-type heat detectors; BS EN54-28:2016. This means that all products in the FyreLine EN54 Fixed range are approved for use within the European Economic Area (EEA) and comply with the EU’s New Approach Directives.
FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection supports two zones of up to 1000m and can be connected to either a conventional or addressable fire alarm control panel. Once a zone has been triggered, the system’s control panel calculates the distance along the cable to the alarm location, enabling the end user to investigate the threat and take the necessary action. FyreLine EN54 Fixed Linear Heat Detection can also be used in interlock mode for applications that require alarm verification.
Crisis Emergency Voice Communication System
Wheelchair users or people that are disabled often have difficulty evacuating to safety in an emergency event. A disabled refuge gives these people a suitable place to congregate while they call for help and wait for assistance.
Crisis EVC provides two-way communication between the emergency services and those inside a building that may require assistance with evacuation. The Crisis EVC range combines all the components of an emergency voice communication system, including disabled refuge points, into one fully-integrated robust network.
Crisis EVC is easy to install, configure and operate and provides significant cost savings over other emergency voice communications systems. The range includes compact and stylish touch-screen master stations as well as attractive and intuitive refuge stations that are easily accessible to people of all abilities.
Li-ion Tamer Lithium Ion Battery Rack Monitoring
The global lithium ion battery market is growing rapidly. Li-ion batteries are incredibly diverse; they suit a wide variety of applications from powering mobile phones, tablets and laptops to medical equipment, electric vehicles and power tools. They are now also being used for more power-intensive applications such as providing back-up power for facilities such as call centres and data centres and many other applications that require a back-up power source.
However, despite being so versatile and increasingly popular, Li-ion batteries are extremely volatile and if mistreated, overcharged or damaged can explode or catch fire.
The Li-ion Tamer Lithium Ion Battery Rack Monitor is an innovative new product that is capable of providing an extremely early warning of Li-ion battery failure. It does this by detecting the gas that is released during the early stages of failure, allowing the user time to investigate and deal with any potential issues before they become out of hand.
