Overview

The VL-ZMB is a six-zone monitor module that is designed to be DIN mounted inside of a Velocity control panel. The VL-ZMB module has six class B zone monitors which can be used for conventional devices and/or specialist detectors that are not typically available as addressable devices such as aspirating smoke detectors, UV detectors and beam detectors.

The Velocity Class B Zone Monitor Module is quick and easy to install and is powered via its RJ45 connection to the control panel. It monitors and transmits the status (normal, open, short or alarm) of the devices in the zone to the fire alarm control panel and each zone input can be configured to give either a supervisory or alarm signal when active.

The unit also has LED indications to show when a zone is communicating with the motherboard, when an open circuit condition has been detected, when a short circuit condition has been detected and when an alarm/supervisory is active in the zone.

Approvals

All components in the Velocity range are UL certified and comply with the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 864 Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems 10th Edition.
