Description

The Xtralis ICAM IFT-P Aspirating Smoke Detector is an EN54-20 approved, very early warning fire detection system designed for reliable detection in its incipient stages. It covers areas up to 2000m² with a sensitivity range from 0.001% to 20% obscuration/m. This detector is suitable for diverse environments, including heavy industrial applications like factories and mining facilities, as well as telecommunications and IT facilities.

The system operates by employing a powerful 2000 Pa aspirator to draw air through a dual-pipe network. This air is then filtered before being analysed in a laser detection chamber, ensuring superior detection over long pipe lengths and in high airflow environments. Airflow is continuously monitored by a dual-element thermal sensing system, with faults indicated on the detector’s display and transmitted to monitoring equipment.

The IFT-P features four individually programmable alarm states (Alert, Action, Fire 1, Fire 2), indicated via an LED display and dedicated output relays. Configuration is managed using Xtralis VSC and VSM4 software via RS232, RS485, and TCP/IP communication interfaces, enabling remote display connections and email alerts. The detector supports up to three optional modules for additional output relays and analogue outputs. It holds comprehensive approvals from VdS and LPCB, bears the CE mark, and complies with EN54-20.
