Overview
The Velocity Manual Call Point uses a glass-free mechanism that simulates the feel of breaking glass. This makes it safe for use in areas such as food processing plants, kitchens and common areas. Once the unit has been activated, it can simply be reset using a key. This also makes them suitable for areas that suffer from a high number of activations such as shopping centres, schools and other public areas.
When activated, a yellow and black warning flag drops into view to show that the alarm has been triggered and a special key is inserted into a hole in the bottom and rotated to reset the device.
When used as part of an addressable system, the Velocity Mini Input Module must be used to make the Velocity manual call point addressable.
Approvals
All components in the Velocity range are UL certified and comply with the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 864 Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems 10th Edition.
