Overview
Velocity Addressable Smoke & Heat Detectors are stylish, low-profile combined photoelectric and heat detectors designed to be used as part of a Velocity MMP fire alarm system.
These analogue addressable detectors are assigned their own unique address at the factory which allows them to be easily identified on the system.
Smoke sensitivity can be programmed to suit the environment using the control panel’s software and is continuously monitored and reported at the panel.
The detector’s sophisticated smoke chamber provides the same sensitivity regardless of smoke type and has a chemically etched, stainless steel insect screen to protect the detection elements from insects and airborne contaminants.
The Velocity Addressable Smoke & Heat Detector incorporates a highly-linear thermistor circuit that initiates an alarm when it detects a rapid rise in temperature or at a fixed heat of 57°C.
Approvals
All components in the Velocity range are UL certified and comply with the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 864 Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems 10th Edition.
