Overview

The Wi-Fyre Xenos Wireless Expander is compatible with all Wi-Fyre Xenos intelligent translators. Xenos Expanders provide a convenient method to increase the radio communication range beyond what is possible from a single translator by relaying the information to other expanders or directly to wireless field devices. This allows the user to create large fully wireless configurations or to add wireless devices into areas where cabling for translators is not possible.

Xenos Expanders are programable for a redundant path to the translator. This means that if any expander in the chain fails, the transmission path can find an alternative route. Redundant paths are tested during system commissioning for maximum reliability.

All expanders are fully monitored ensuring that the highest levels of life safety are maintained.

Please note: Xenos Wireless Expanders require an external power supply unit.

Scalable System Design

Up to 15 (8 if the network is using a linear path) Wi-Fyre Xenos Wireless Expanders can be used to support up to 128 wireless devices.

Wireless Range

The point-to-point transmission range for Xenos is over 1km in open air and its antenna technology is tuned for performance across frequencies and environments. Combined with up to 8 expansion hops, a Wi-Fyre Xenos system can cover well over 8km.
