  • Use in potentially explosive atmospheres

The FSL100 series of flame detectors from Honeywell delivers robust, fast and reliable detection of flaming fires in a wide range of applications.

This range of flame detectors consists of UV, UV/IR and IR3 flame detectors. All flame detectors in this series use sophisticated sensing and signal analysis to detect fire quickly while rejecting false alarms.

FSL100 detectors have a lightweight GRP housing to assist with easy installation. Despite their small size, they can work in tough indoor and outdoor environments including in potentially explosive atmospheres. They have a large field of view to detect a variety of different types of fire including fires from hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon sources.

These detectors use high speed sensors and microprocessors combined with sophisticated analysis algorithms and continuous health monitoring to provide fast and reliable flame detection with superior false alarm rejection.

They are available in a high visibility red or discrete white enclosure and have automatic self-test or remote manual self-test options. Designed to last, these detectors use life-long elements with pressure compensation to avoid contamination and come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty.

They are easy to install and use with preformed cable knockouts, optional swivel mounting bracket and relay and mA outputs as standard.

The FSL100-UV detector is suitable for indoor applications and provides an effective solution for materials burning with low-temperatures such as Sulphur. They offer good resistance against direct and reflected sunlight and artificial light such as fluorescent tubes and glass covered halogen lights.

FSL100-UV/IR detectors analyse flame-flicker frequency for improved false alarm rejection. Their dual sensing methodology enables effective detection of hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon flames. They offer good resistance against direct and reflected sunlight and artificial light such as fluorescent tubes and glass covered halogen lights, arcs and electrical discharges and the radiation from electric welding (providing that the welding takes place at more than 10 feet from the detector).

FSL100-IR3 detectors offer the detection capabilities of the other detectors in the range but are particularly suitable for detecting liquid hydrocarbon and dirty fires. They are affected less by window contamination or smoky fires and are especially suited to fires that emit large amounts of smoke.

All flame detectors in the FSL100 range are approved to EN54-10 and FM3260 flame detector standards.
