Overview
The Velocity Addressable Dual Input Module is intended for use with addressable two wire systems. The Velocity Addressable Dual Input Module monitors and transmits the status (normal, open, short or active) of devices equipped with NC/NO dry contacts such as pull stations, water flow switches and security catches to a control panel. The initiating device circuit (IDC) can be wired as Class A (Style D & E) or Class B (Style B & C).
It has a built-in short-circuit isolator (SCI) to prevent loop failure in the event of a short on the loop.
The Velocity Addressable Dual Input Module is loop powered and can be mounted directly onto a 4-inch electrical box. It has three coloured LEDs to indicate the status of the input, polling and SCI.
Approvals
All components in the Velocity range are UL certified and comply with the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 864 Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems 10th Edition.
