Overview
The InfraSensing Temperature Sensor is a high-precision device designed to monitor ambient temperature in critical environments like data centres, server rooms, and industrial facilities. Its real-time monitoring capabilities make it vital for detecting temperature fluctuations that could signal potential fire risks.
The InfraSensing Temperature Sensor connects to the base unit and measures the ambient temperature around it in celsius or fahrenheit. By identifying unexpected heat build-up, the sensor enables early detection of conditions that could lead to fires, such as overheating equipment or electrical faults. It also ensures systems operate within safe temperature ranges, reducing the risk of fire caused by overheating.
Using multiple temperature sensors, you can ensure suitable temperatures at all points of the protected areas. For example, when used in a server rack, one temperature sensor can monitor the temperature at the bottom of the rack, while another can monitor the temperature at the top of the rack, enabling the user to ensure there is efficient cooling throughout the system.
