Overview

Emergency Voice Communication systems are used to provide two-way communication between those inside a building and the emergency services. An EVC is used in place of the more traditional radio system that can be unreliable and ensures that those in need of assistance during an emergency can get the help they need.

EVC systems are made up of a variety of components including; disabled refuge, emergency telephones and assistance alarms. A master station is installed at the central location point to connect the system together.

The Crisis EVC range includes touchscreen master stations, repeater stations and system expander panels and all panels have a built-in network with a fully fault-tolerant network protocol with dual redundancy.

Crisis EVC control panels operate on the Crisis EVC network to give full, site-wide control from any master station and can provide up to 512 lines of emergency communications.

The enclosure is made from powder coated Zintec with a smoke perspex door covering the handset.

Lines auto identify by flashing red for emergency voice communication calls, blue for assist calls or green for connected calls as detailed in BS5839-9:2011.

The Crisis EVC Remote Alarm Panel is also available to provide a compact and stylish solution when the Master Station is located within a non-staffed area such as an entrance lobby. The remote alarm panel provides an audible and visual indication of when the system is being used.

When the Assist Call Repeater is activated, the blue ‘halo’ indication flashes and the buzzer sounds to make the user aware that there is a call.
